As a prestigious family-owned British heritage fine jewelry brand founded in 1798, Boodles’ flagship store in London Mayfair connects two separate buildings into a three-storey integrated space. Designed by Eva Jiřičná Architects, the boutique takes structural engineering aesthetics as the core concept. The iconic 5-meter glass skywalk is fitted with exclusive Skywalk Hanging Jewelry Cabinets, while the dramatic curved glass staircase acts as distinctive Curved Staircase Display Fixtures. Large central skylight provides natural illumination for a full set of Skylight Natural Light Vitrines. The whole store adopts unified British Neutral-Tone Jewelry Cases matched with signature pink fabric to form exquisite Brand Toned Fabric Displays. Soft grey base paired with iconic Boodles pink runs through all display furniture. Natural daylight from skylights and artistic man-made lighting complement each other, highlighting the luster of diamonds and colored gemstones. The ingenious combination of architectural structure and jewelry display creates a top-tier retail space that won the 2023 Walpole Best British Luxury Brand award.
Skywalk Hanging Jewelry Cabinets & Cross-Building Display
The 5-meter transparent glass skywalk linking two buildings is equipped with three groups of bespoke Skywalk Hanging Jewelry Cabinets, which are suspended on both sides of the walkway with streamlined lightweight structures. The overhead mounting method breaks traditional ground display limits, allowing customers to view fine jewelry from a unique overhead perspective while walking through the skybridge. The cabinets use high-transparent glass and slim metal frames to keep the skywalk’s light and airy sense. Inner soft focused lights are scientifically arranged to avoid light reflection on glass surface. Combined with outdoor natural light, these hanging cabinets become mobile exhibition spaces connecting different zones, perfectly integrating spatial circulation and high-end jewelry display.
Curved Staircase Display Fixtures & Focal Point Structure
The dramatic curved glass staircase serves as core Curved Staircase Display Fixtures and the biggest visual highlight of the whole store. Following the arc lines of the staircase, auxiliary display units are reasonably arranged at stair landing and side areas. The cabinet structures echo the staircase’s tension and fluidity, adopting slim transparent materials to maintain the overall light architectural feeling. Warm soft lights are embedded inside the fixtures, casting gentle glow on Raindance and other classic jewelry collections. The staircase is no longer just a vertical traffic line, but a large-scale artistic display installation, realizing perfect unity of architectural beauty and jewelry presentation.
Skylight Natural Light Vitrines & Daylight Exhibition System
A large central skylight introduces soft London sky light for a complete set of Skylight Natural Light Vitrines placed right below. These professional display cabinets are designed to adapt to even scattered natural light, with low-reflection glass and optimized internal structure. Without overexposed strong artificial lights, they restore the most authentic color, fire and cutting details of diamonds and gemstones. The layout follows the skylight’s projection range, forming a central natural light exhibition area. This design respects the natural attributes of gemstones and creates a calm, elegant British-style viewing atmosphere.
British Neutral-Tone Jewelry Cases & Unified Base Style
All mainstream display furniture uniformly adopts British Neutral-Tone Jewelry Cases with soft grey as the main tone, interpreting restrained British aristocratic aesthetics. The cabinet bodies select high-quality solid materials with smooth matte finish, presenting low-key and sophisticated texture. The proportions are rigorous and elegant, following classic British furniture design rules. Whether large wall cabinets or small independent units, they keep consistent color, material and dimensional standards. The neutral grey background sets off colorful jewelry without visual interference, becoming the most stable basic display system throughout the three-storey space.
Brand Toned Fabric Displays & Signature Color Matching
The boutique’s iconic Boodles pink is applied widely on liners and upholstery to create delicate Brand Toned Fabric Displays. Soft pink velvet lines the inside of various cabinets, while matching fabric is used for rest seats beside showcases. The gentle contrast between soft grey cabinet bodies and signature pink fabrics strengthens brand recognition. The velvet material can well protect high-grade jewelry and prevent scratches. This color and material matching runs through every display corner, forming a highly recognizable brand visual system while improving display comfort and luxury sense.
Whole-Store Structural Visual Logic & Multi-Layer Layout
The three-storey interconnected double buildings follow rigorous integrated visual logic: hanging cabinets on skywalk, staircase fixtures, natural light vitrines under skylights and neutral-tone cases all share unified material, color and lighting standards. Architectural structures like glass skywalk and curved stairs are organically combined with display functions. Natural light and man-made lights are layered reasonably across different floors and zones. From horizontal skywalk to vertical staircase, from central daylight area to surrounding themed showcases, the whole space takes engineering aesthetics and British restrained luxury as the main line, building a world-famous heritage jewelry flagship.
